Keebler Simply Made Cookies

I’ll say this here and now so there isn’t any confusion:  I don’t generally like store bought cookies. Okay.  There.  That’s out.  However, I do buy them for my kids to tuck into their lunches because, as a working mom, I don’t always have time to bake fresh.  And when I do, they tend to disappear before the weekend is over.

So, when I was given the opportunity to try out Keebler’s new Simply Made cookies, I knew my kids would love me forever.  What I didn’t realize is that so would my husband.

As luck would have it, I already had a package of  Keebler Chips Deluxe cookies in my cupboard so I could make an actual comparison between the two.  While the Chips Deluxe aren’t bad, they’re not my mother’s chocolate chip cookies either.  But then, what is, right?  I was highly surprised, however, when I bit into the Simply Made Chocolate Chip cookie and it tasted like a cookie.  Crisp, flaky, and probably the best pre-packaged cookie I’ve ever had.

Until I tried the butter cookies.

I’ve mentioned this before but my mother is one heck of a baker.  I’ve been raised on homemade cookies and so I’m a bit of a cookie snob, it’s true.  One of her best cookies are her butter cookies.  Buttery, crumbly, melt-in-your-mouth yummy.  So, these Keebler Simply Made Butter Cookies were up against tough competition.  Amazingly enough, they not only stood up, they represented, too.  Keebler’s were more crunchy than I was used to, but despite that, they still melted in your mouth like all good butter cookies should.  While my kids preferred the chocolate chip, my husband was all aboard with the butter cookies.

As a mom, I feel that if I can’t make it myself, I want to be sure I know exactly what’s in what I’m giving my children.  This is where Simply Made really excels – a list of simple ingredients you can easily identify is all that’s included in these cookies.  How can you go wrong with that?

Keebler Simply Made cookies have been approved by my family, and by me, too, the picky spoiled cookie snob.
